I hate this time of year.

No, not because it's cold and snowing, or because a chill north wind bites right to the bone.

It's the time again for instructors to "remember" that they are teaching a course and that it just might be a good idea to turn in a list of books and journal articles to be scanned for their students to read. Never mind that the freaking deadline was almost two months ago...they'll blithely drop off several pages of citations and then start bitching when the readings don't magically appear within 24 hours.

9-10 hour days, plus a good chunk of the weekend, has become the normal work schedule for me. Not much time or energy left for much else besides the barest survival necessities. It'll end soon and I'll be back to photo fun, but in the meantime... life sucks.
