03/03/2005 Entry: "First gallery show"

The mat and mount frenzy is over for now.
Ran out of mat-board, watercolor paper to make more prints, and of course... time.

I've got eight framed pieces, done in gelatin silver (fancy gallery-speak for a b/w print) and several alt-processes. There's also a box full of about fifty smaller images in cyanotype, Van Dyke, gum bichromate and Polaroid transfer. These are all matted, mounted and slipped into clear polybags. It's a pretty eclectic assortment, everything from trains and tugboats to nymphs and nudes.

This Saturday afternoon, I'll be loading them into the car and taking them all to:

Phantom Frames Studio and Gallery
106 North Commerce Street
Centreville, MD 21617

Nervous? Excited?
A yes to both.

It's the gallery's grand opening party, so a first for both myself and the gallery owner.
