05/12/2004 Entry: "wood nymph"

Had a great time at the Maryland Photographer and Model Get2Gether. My only regrets are that I couldn't have been there for both days and that I had to leave so early on Sunday. I shot a bit with the old wood box pinhole camera, some silly popupdouble exposure tricks, a few with popupTom Mangano, but I think my favorites of the day were some shots of a young wood nymph from Pennsylvania:

I'm already trying to line up some models for a wood nymph/water sprite series and have more ideas churning in my head than I'll ever be able to capture on film. It'll be a fun time trying, though.

hey john,

i've seen some of your work...but can't understand the nymph series....
it doesn't make the same sense as your previous works...artistically of intelectually. In fact, I linked over the the MD model forum...and much of the figure "fine art" falls short of expectations....just my thoughts...keep up the good work
