03/03/2004 Entry: "Marion's back"

Marion was kind enough to spend a weekend evening helping me with some more of my silly IR light painting experiments. My biggest problem with printing them was trying to pick which frames to work with in the limited time I had to play in the darkroom. She always comes up with marvelous poses and her enthusiasm and patience with my experimenting makes shooting with her a treat.

Don't worry, Dan, there are more coming soon.

A good model is truly worth their weight in gold, platinum, whatever metal suits your fancy. I feel your pain regarding the difficulty of finding someone who's reliable and patient and good in front of the camera (even though it's a bit easier for me, as I don't do the kind of figure studies you do, though I may explore that at some point).

I've signed up for an alternative processes class myself for the spring term, and just hope there's adequate enrollment...I'm really looking forward to learning how to use a large format camera and producing large negatives as well.

I have to say your talents complement each other very well.

Nice work, both of you!
