02/18/2004 Entry: "light paint Van Dyke"

It seems like it's been an awfully long week and it's only Wednesday. Work's been kicking along at a steady pace and I've tried to sneak in some time for photo play after a long, long day. My Saturday alt-process class has been fun, even without covering much material new to me. Having some new enlarged negs to play with has kept me busy with trying some alt-process techniques on the recent light paint series.

I'm anxious to do more of this type of work but hooking up with models has been like pulling teeth in some instances. Nothing like spending a few weeks batting e-mails back and forth, patiently explaining the details of the entire process, providing examples of the work, finally arranging a time and place to meet, only to have them back out at the last moment with, "My boyfriend doesn't think I should do it."

I've got a few more lines open to some others and hope something can be arranged in time to use the shots in a project for class.
