12/28/2003 Entry: "xmas trains"

There's something about trains and the holiday season. They fit together so well, even if Santa does choose to travel by sleigh rather than rail. I've been missing the steam engines at the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum and need to get a train fix soon. If I can't stroll through a collection of the huge iron horses, perhaps a visit to the Baltimore Society of Model Engineers holiday layouts will ease the railroad cravings.

I first visited the layout a dozen years ago and heading back to see how the display has grown and changed will be a fun holiday treat. They'll be open New Year's Day and should provide a bit of distraction from endless football games.
