10/28/2003 Entry: "B&O museum visit"

On the way home from work, I stopped off at a place I haven't visited in way too long. It was a short stop at the B and O Railroad Museum to meet with the director of collections and deliver a hard copy of the shot I took way back in February of the snow blowing across the roundhouse dome and train yard just hours before the roundhouse roof collapsed.

The museum's still closed and repairs are progressing. They just got some bad news about the upper portion of the roof, which did not collapse but will require extensive repairs to bring it into conformance with modern building codes. It's an unexpected hit on their finances, just as the insurance money is running out.
