10/27/2003 Entry: "weekend lith scans"

Despite the torrential downpour this morning, the Art Center was open early enough to let me grab the lith prints I was playing with Saturday morning.

Potomac River at Seneca Rocks - infrared pinhole lith

Seneca Valley - pinhole infrared lith print

Homesteader cabin - pinhole lith print

The lith printing process is a long and slow one but I'm very happy with the results from Saturday's session. I'm especially tickled with the homesteader's cabin shot, which was a real snoozer in regular b/w but turned into a pretty dramatic piece with the lith process. Wish I could share the real prints rather than scans, so many delicate transitions in tone are simply not there in the digital versions.
