[Previous entry: "slacker"] [Main Index] [Next entry: "van dyke and cyanotype"] 10/11/2003 Entry: "gray Saturday" Cool and cloudy, with little sun coming through the thick covering, the flat light doesn't promise much in the way of photo fun today. Seems like a fine time to slip into the darkroom and work on some of the shots from Seneca and make some contact sheets of Thursday's play. I was looking over the negs on the light box yesterday after work and a few of the Seneca 4x5s look quite promising. The IR roll from Thursday is going to be a challenge, though. Not sure if my developer went bad or it was just the effect of clouds dulling things but the negs look awfully flat and lifeless. I've printed worse with decent results, so I'll see what magic can be pulled out of them. Tomorrow's looking like the same weather, if not worse. Might keep the crowds down at the Mount Washington Village Wine & Jazz Festival. I want to try swinging by there, as the good folks from Angelfall Studios will be there with a booth full of affordable art, including a few of my smaller alt-process works. I've been poking around for a place to have some business cards made. I'd like to go local and help out some company here in town but I'm aso consoideriing using an online printing service. Any suggestions? Have you used one and been happy with quality, service and price?
