02/17/2003 Entry: "still coming down"
If you recall yesterday's image of the poor 
dunce cap trash can, you should see it this morning. Coming down as sleet now, making the snow even heavier to shovel. The cars are still buried and it's going to be an all day job to uncover them. No hurry, though, the roads aren't clear enough to drive on.
The National Guard has been called out to provide emergency assistance in transporting patients and staff to hospitals. I just heard a report that one of their HUMVEEs got stuck in the snow so I'll stick to walking if I need to go anywhere.
