Over 100 works from the Hallmark Photographic Collection are displayed in the exhibit "An American Century of Photography: From Dry-plate to Digital" at the Delaware Art Museum. Spanning from the 1880's to the present, the exhibit examines the works of four periods of stylistically similar or contrasting groups.

A Texas woman, who participated in a 2,300 trip by covered wagon to mark the Bicentennial, will make one last journey in the same fashion. Hazel Cross Bowen died Wednesday at the age of 93 and will be carried to the Antelope cemetery by a buckboard wagon that will be pulled by a pair of mules.

Tuesday, February 06, 2001The many customs surrounding death and mourning during the late 19th century are examined in an exhibit at the Edmonds Historical Museum in Edmonds, Washington. The exhibit also documents the history of the nearby Edmonds Memorial Cemetery and the iconography of gravestones.
Expansion of Baltimore, Maryland's BWI Airport may require the relocation of a family cemetery dating to the 1800's. A number of other archeological sites have been found in the area of the proposed expansion.
